19
Q

Psoriatic arthropathy

A

Psoriatic arthritis is a form of arthritis that affects 10% of people with psoriasis — a condition that features red patches of skin topped with silvery scales.

20
Q

Presentation of Psoaritic arthropathy

A
  1. Asymmetric olgioarthritis- Dactylitis(hands and feet) mainly
  2. Distal interphalangeal joints
  3. Rheuamtoid pattern
    Arthritis mutilans
  4. Sacroilitis
21
Q

RA Stats

A
  1. 3 females > 1 male
  2. 30-50 y.o
  3. 70% seropositive- RF +ve IgM against self IgG.
  4. 20% have extraarticular features.
  5. HLA-DR4+ve- severe erosive disease
22
Q

Presenting findings of RA

A

There is a symmetrical, deforming polyarthropathy affecting the small joints of the hands in a rheumatoid pattern. The most common differentials would be RA and psoriatic arthritis.
