Presents with fever at least 5 days with four of the ff
Conjunctivitis (nonpurulent, limbal sparing)
Rash (truncal, polymorphous)
Adenopathy (>1.5cm, unilateral)
Strawberry tongue/change in mucosa of oropharynx( or red cracked or swollen lips)
Hand changes (periph ext changes including edema/erythema and periungal desquamation)
Kawasaki disease aka Mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome
Severe vasculitis affecting <5 y/o more commonly affecting medium-sized arteries with predilection to coronary arteries
Kawasaki disease
Most common pediatric inflammatory myopathy presenting as systemic vasculopathy with characteristic cutaneous findings, and focal area of myositis resulting in progressive proximal muscle weakness
Juvenile dermatomyositis
Classic rash (heliotrope of eyelids, gottron papules plus 3 of ff Weakness (symmetric, proximal) Muscle enzyme elevation EMG changes (myopathy, denervation) Muscle biopsy (necrosis, inflammation)
