Rhetoric
the art or skill of speaking or writing formally and effectively
Ethos
a rhetorical device that uses the credibility or trustworthiness of the speaker
Pathos
a rhetorical device that appeals to emotion or imagination
Logos
a rhetorical device that appeals to logic and reason
ETHOS, PATHOS, OR LOGOS? “I’m Barack Obama, and I approve this message.”
