The location of one this adjacent to another to make a point. Usually not placed together. Two opposite ideas set alongside one another for effect. Ideas not words

The reiteration of a word for emphasis

Short person account of an interesting event. A small story
Analogy
Used to make a rational argument and support ideas by showing connections between dissimilar things

A frightened reader is interested. Fright is personal
