  • inspect
  • clean lens, rinse and conditioner

How do you insert an RGP

A
  • same lid control as SCL
  • Px look at target
  • place into cornea
  • gently release lens
  • discomfort comes from top lid interacting with lens edge, so get Px to look down

How to remove an RGP

A
  • Px looks straight ahead
  • lift top and bottom lid to the top and bottom of lens
  • apply pressure to edge of lens and will fall out
  • if not centred, lens will just slide
  • lid margins need to be against the ocular surface
