Weaknesses

Strengths
-ended revolutionary war

Problems for new government
Economic distress- national government could not tax so printed large amounts of paper money to pay off war debts(caused inflation)
Shays rebellion- farmers began protest against government
Constitutional convention- strong central government was created
Federalist vs anti federalists
Federalists -supporters of constitution -strong central government Anti federalists -opposed constitution -weak central government
French and Indian war(seven years war)
- Established England as dominant power
- Albany plan was an attempt to form a defensive Union for war with France(did not take effect)
