Direct object pronouns - pronouns used to replace nous. The object is the person or thing which recieves the action of the verb . Direct pronouns are used when the nous is not the subjectof the sentence . ‘She loves him’, ‘i watched them’
Me - me Te - you le - him/it la -hier/it nous -us Vous -you les - them
Used to replace du/de/la/des/de l’. It can mean ‘some’,’of it’ or ‘of them’ . It goes in front of the verb and in the passe composse , it goes in front of the auxillary verb.
E.g jai mangé du poulet hier
J’en ai mangé hier- i ate some yesterday
Venir de - what you have just done but not to be mistaken with venir - to come
Je viens de E.g je viens de manger - i have just eaten Tu viens de Il/elles/on vient de Nous venons de Vous venez de Ils/elles viennent de
En train de - to say what you are in the process of doing
- etre en train de + a verb in the infinitive
Je suis un train de E.g je suis en train de faire mes devoirs
Tu es en train de = i was in the process of doing my homework
Il/elle/on est train de
Nous sommes en train de
Vous etes un train de
Ils/elles sont en train de
Tenses- passe compose
Use avoir, remove -er , -ir , -re + é, i or u
Passe compose=
Use avoir + verb + endings
- er verbs: remove the -er = +é
- ir verbs: remove the -ir = + i
- re verbs:remove the - re = +u
