What is development?
Development is where a country or city expand and become better than before. This could be by having more resources, better resource, more jobs, better jobs, more facilities or much more ‘high tech things’
Malawi…
Malawi’s a developing country. However it is very hot in certain areas which means that the children(who go to school) go early in the morning, come home at midday, work on their family’s farm then when it turns dar go to sleep. For some people going to sleep would consist of their whole family sleeping in a small one room hut/house - this would be a tight squeeze.
Singapore…
Singapore is a developed country. This means that there are many people withstand access to all the necessary facility’s ( like shops, hospitals, homes, free education and many more) most people own a home and the majority owns maid. The education here if free in primary then a small fee for secondary. This fee is however easily afforded by the parents as there is a high intelligence rate which means better jobs - more income!
Push factors…
These are the elements of where someone lives that they don’t like and makes them want to move. For example the money earn might not be enough and they could get more money from somewhere else. This would push them away from where hey used to live and make them want to move to another area where they know they can get what they want.
Pull factors…
Theses are the elements off somewhere where someone might want to live that are pulling them towards it for example it might be the weather or food which they do not have where they are living now. This would pull the more towards that area.
Development indicators…
Theses are the elements people would look at to discover how well developed / not developed that area is . This would consist of things like; adult literacy rate or GDP per person.
