What is a macro lens for?
Up close image taking
What is a telephoto lens for?
Taking images from far away
What is a wide angled lens for?
To create a large and wider frame

Name the main parts of the SLR camera
Shutter speed, film speed, winding lever, shutter release, number counter, aperture ring, the lens, rewind button, the focus, viewfinder
How do you know if your film is winded properly?
There is tension within the film winder
What f stop would give you a large depth of field?
F22
What device helps you find the correct exposure for taking an image?
Light meter
What is the b setting on a camera? How do you use it?
Bulb mode, hold in the shutter for as long as you want/need for time exposure
What does the shutter speed do?
Controls how fast the image is taken and motion capture
What does the aperture do?
Controls the size of the hole that the light comes through
What does the focus ring do?
It focuses the image
What is the depth of field?
The amount of distance within the focused image
What does the frame counter do?
Counts the amount of frames you have used
What are the steps to loading a camera?
1- open back of camera
2- place film canister in left slot
3- shut lock and pull film across shutter
4- begin feeding the film into the film winder, making sure it slots within the teeth
5- shut back of camera and wind three times
What should you check before loading a film?
Check there is no film inside
What must you do before rewinding a film?
Index the rewind button
What can happen if you rewind your film wrong?
Edges can be ripped, image can be exposed

If twenty degrees is the ideal temperature for developing film, what is the chemical sequence and time needed
1- developer for 13 minutes
2- working stop bath 30 seconds

How many mls of chemicals are needed to develop film?
150ml water + 150ml chemical for one roll
300ml stop
300ml fixer
How and why do we agitate chemicals?
To remove air and guarantee whole film development
