Software
A computer program that tells the computer how to perform particular tasks
Peripherals
All of the other parts of the PC excluding the system unit are collectively known as peripherals.
System Unit

Leading manufacturers of CPUs: Intel and AMD
RAM (Random Access Memory)
A form of computer memory that is used as a temporary storage
HDD (Hard Disk Drive)
The more RAM your CPU has access to, the easier its job becomes, which enables a faster computer. Random access memory also helps your system support software. Every piece of software requires a minimum amount of space and memory to be able to run smoothly
Optical Drive
Memory device that permanently stores and retrieves data on a computer
