What is the Acetabulum?
The, large cup shaped articular cavity at the junction of the ilium, ischium and the pubis. Where the head of the femur lies.
What is Adipose Tissue?
A specialized connective tissue that stores lipids (fatty tissue)
What is Aldosterone?
a steroid hormone responsible for Na+ & K+ regulation. Produced by the adrenal cortex.
Antidiuretic Hormone
- Produced in the post. pituitary gland
- Regulates water balance in body
What is Aqueous Humor?
The clear, watery fluid the circulates in the anterior and posterior chambers of the eye.
What is areolar connective tissue?
Loose tissue consisting of webs of fibers and a variety of cells embedded in a matrix of soft, sticky gel.
Atrial natriuretic factor (ANF)
A peptide released from the atria when BP is increased. It lowers BP by increasing urinary output
