Defense Mechanism: Engaging in daydreams about the the way one would like things to be
Denial of Reality
Defense Mechanism: Ignoring or refusing to acknowledge disagreeable reality
Displacement
Defense Mechanism: Shifting anxiety or anger from object to less threatening substitute
Compensation
Defense mechanism: Emphasizing a positive trait to disguise the presence of a weak or undesirable quality
Projection
Defense Mechanism: Relegating blame for one’s shortcomings to others.
Repression
Defense Mechanism: Placing uncomfortable thoughts into inaccessible places in the unconscious mind

Reaction Formation
Defense Mechanism: Faking opposite belief because reality causes anxiety (e.g. “who cares” attitude to mask need for acceptance)
Flight instructor Privileges
- Train and issue endorsements
- Accept and verify student pilot certificates
- Verify applicant meets standards for small UAS
Requirements to instruct CFI
Part 141
- 80% pass rate on at least 5 students for certificate granting checkrides
- 400 hours dual given
Flight Instructor Limitations (61.195)
- 8 hours FLIGHT training in 24 hour period
- Must hold rating in category and class to instruct in
- Must give all required training in order for student to do first solo
- Must give required training and route endorsement for solo XC
