Return To School Test Flashcards
Radians equations you need to know
arc length s = r*(theta) (must remember)
Area of sector = 0.5r^2theta (most useful so try remembering but can work without)
P of sector = r*theta + 2r (can prob work without )
Area of segment = 0.5r^2theta (sector) - 0.5r^2 sin theta (triangle) (can prob work without)
the two triangle formulas + pier^2 + rtheta are enough really
When writing an expression for an arithmetic equation going down how should you write it
Cn = -(d)Cn+(how much for d to get to a)
for connected rates what should you remember to cancel derivatives
If you are given the rate of decrease of surface area of a cube so like
da/dt = 6x^2 cms^-1
and you want dv/ dt you can cancel by putting area and volume expressions together so
da/dt * dv/da = dv/dt. so you can divide the two expressions by each other to cancel da out
