4 or 5 H/S —> bid suit 1-level
4H AND 4S —> bid 1H “four on the floor”
5H AND 5S—>bid 1S “high 5”
No major fit BUT balanced & 6+ HCP….
Limited bids
6-10 HCP —> bid 1 NT
11-12 HCP —> bid 2 NT
13-15 HCP—> bid 3 NT
If no major, unbalanced BUT 6+ HCP and 5+ cards in partners bid minor…
(Limited bid: #s same as NT)
6-9 HCP—> RAISE bid to 2
10-12 HCP —> RAISE bid to 3
13+ HCP —> bid new suit (open discussion)
If no fit major (<4 cards) , no NT or no minor fit (<5 cards) BUT have 6+ HCP ….. explore UNBID minor
4+D & 6+ HCP—> Bid 1D
5+C & 10+ HCP—> Bid 2C
(Don’t 2C bid if <5 cards)
If ONLY have 6-9 HCP
(No major or minor fit, not balance & no unbid minor option)
