Inflate the bag first❗
Connect to O2, hold finger over valve & wait for the bag to be inflated
(This should only take a few seconds)

2 liters MAX for an infant nasal cannula
How do you pick the correct size of nasal cannula for your patient?
Recommend < 50% of nares occlusion
What is the only respiratory device that you should use humidification with?
ONLY use humidification for nasal cannula set-up

50% FiO2 is the maximum for the floor

Adult!

Your patient is using a spacer with their inhaler. How many breaths should they take per puff?
6 breaths per puff
Encourage them to take long & deep breaths
if you hear a whistle, they are breathing too fast

Requires 6-8 liters to operate
Do you connect the aerosol to the AIR or OXYGEN on the wall?
Oxygen if the patient is requiring oxygen prior
Air if the patient is not requiring oxygen
