Bronchiectasis

Answer 1

Permanent dilated airways (medium and small airways) d/t chronic inflmtn of airways.
M/c/c H influenza, Strep pneum, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas.
First do CXR- would be normal or would show tramlines.
Do HRCT for diagnosis.
Treat with antibiotics, postural drainage and chest PT.
