What happens during respiration ?
A
During respiration the chemical energy trapped in glucose is moved into ATP molecules so that it can be used for other processes in cells.

A
When ATP is broken down to release energy the 3rd phosphate attached at the end of the molecule is broken away to leave behind ADP and a free phosphate
