What is Kostmann Syndrome?

A

Rare autosomal recessive disorder (congenital Neutropenia). Typically presents as recurrent infections 2 weeks after birth.

What is Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency?

A

Rare primary immune deficiency where neutrophils fail to being to endothelial markers and so the neutrophils cannot find where the infection is. It is a genetic defect in CD18.
