D: spirometry, pef diary, trial of treatment
T: b agonist -> inhaled steroids -> aminophylline
Asthma (acute)
D: pef, spirometry
T: O2, salbumtamol neb, prednisolone
COPD
D: spirometry, abg
T: SABA/SAMA, LABA, ICS
Acute respiratory distress syndrome
D: CXR, wedge pressure
T: CPAP/ventilation, fluid
Pulmonary embolism
D: d-dimer, CTPA
T: LMWH then doac after 5 days
alteplase if unstable
Pneumothorax
D: CXR
T: discharge or chest drain
Pleural effusion
D: CXR
T: treat underlying cause, drain (symptomatic)
Obstructive
D: a video or o2 sats
t: lose weight, tobacco/alcohol reduction, CPAP
Cor pulmanale
D: CXR, ECG

Sarcoidosis

T: conservatives, NSAIDs
