A

What is the social factor and what satisfies it?

A

Relates to the interactions with others.
- An environment in which social interaction, companionship and friendship can be fostered
- Opportunities for leisure, recreation and relaxation → independent and family.
- Interaction → feeling of being wanted → positive effect on wellbeing

A

Relates to physical health and safety.
- Adequate nourishment for growth, development, and good health
- Adequate sleep and rest
- Regular health care

These factors are addressed through:
- Paid employment, bank account, credit, budgeting, inheritance, shares or welfare
- Job security

A

An acronym that refers to the needs and wants of individuals. This includes; safety and security, health, education, sense of identity, employment, adequate standard of living.

A

Refers to our desire to feel protected and safe from threat. Protected from exposure to the weather, theft, burglary or physical harm

A

The concept that everything is interconnected.

A

Refers to the action or process; of acquiring knowledge and skills
- School and tafe, community colleges, universities

How is education important?

A

Its important because higher education results in higher levels of economic resources.

What is sense of identity?

A

Is an individual’s idea of who they are, and can influence confidence and self-esteem.
- Shaped by areas of your life; family, work and social

What is employment?

A

An activity to which one devotes time and requires exerting towards a goal for payment, profit or commission.
- Young students → work → can enhance structures, being organised, routines
- Adults require employment to meet their basic needs and standard of living

What is adequate standard of living?

A

Refers to primary needs : food, clothing and shelter (PRIMARY) that are required by all people.
- In our society it is usually satisfied within a family setting. Some people require community support
- Food needs to be nutritious so the individual can have optimal health
- Clothing needed to protect us
Shelter → safety and security (In a format of a house)
