What is the ACE concept?

Why was ACE created?
It was developed in response to the changing threat environment, particularly the growing competition from Russia and China, and aims to distribute and disperse units and capabilities across multiple and varied sites.
ACE consists of five core elements:
posture, command and control (C2), movement and maneuver, protection, and sustainment.
