Q

Right to withdraw

A

Ppts should be free to decide whether or not they want to take part in a study.
Ppts can decide to leave halfway or at the end of the study as well and still get their incentive.
A problem with this is that your sample may become biased as people who choose to stay may be more compliant or hardy.

Q

Protection from psychological and physical harm.

A

Ppts must not be put in a situation where they could be physically or mentally harmed.
A research is acceptable if ppts are no more in harms way then they would be in their everday life and if they leave in the same condition they came in.
