What is the rationale behind requirements validation?
+ It helps to ensure that requirements are consistent, correct, complete and match what stakeholders’ needs
+ Helps identify any further problems that need to be resolved before the requirements document can be agreed
What are some common problems found at the requirements validation stage?
+ Lack of organisation of requirements
+ Some ambiguous requirement descriptions
+ Errors, omissions and inconsistencies in models and requirements
What will be your approach to validate a set of requirements?
Plan the review
Conduct the review (prototypes, structured walkthrough, informal unstructured review)
Collect comments
Take any actions (e.g. clarify ambiguities, obtain missing info, revise unrealistic requirements, resolve requirement conflicts)
Make revisions
Obtain authorisation and approval
Change version of requirements that are edited
