A

-fixed amount of acid
-gently heat, almost boiling
-add small amounts of metal
-stir with a glass rod
-metal will react and disappear

-add metal until some remains
-use filtration to remove unreacted metal
-gently heat over beaker of boiling water
-heat until half the solution remains
-leave for 24 hours in a cool place for crystals to form
-scrape onto paper towel and pat dry
