Fertilisation
When the sperm meets the egg and fertilises it to eventually spilt the egg into multiple cells which will then gradually turn into a fetus.
Implantation
The fertilised egg attaches itself to the wall of the uterus the embryo (the cells form into an embryo after a few weeks) will remain attached the wall of the uterus until birth
Fetal Development
After 8 weeks the embryo is now classed as a fetus. When the fetus has formed its normally about half an inch long but will keep gradually growing s v
Birth
The fetus has now grown into a baby that is ready to be born, when the baby is ready the cervix should expand to 10cm approx. Normally the baby would be born head first but not always
