A

the process by which the Special Tribunal could send political dissidents into exile for an unspecific amount of time.

  • They prosecuted 13, 547 cases and imposed around 27,742 years of jail time.
  • Around 10,000 Italians were sent to the Confino.
  • Hundreds were arrested every week for antifascist activities.
