How does the Additional Member System Work?
AMS works by giving Constituents additional Representatives in Parliament. They get 1 MSP for the local constituency and then an extra 7 MSP’s for their region they live in. You get two votes. In the first vote you pick a person for your local area and in the second you pick a party for that Region.
