Under what circumstances is an incident involving a non-worker required to be reported under RIDDOR?
Work-related accidents involving members of the public or people who are not at work must be reported if a person is injured, and is taken from the scene of the accident to hospital for treatment to that injury.
What is the requirement if someone has a over-three day injury but less than 7 days?
A record must be kept

Who should report a RIDDOR incident and when?
The responsible person must follow the reporting procedure set out in Part 1 of Schedule 1 which includes:
Notifing the relevant enforcing authority, by the quickest means possible
Within 10 days, send a report on the approved form or by some other approved method, of fatalities, specified injuries, accidents to non-employees and specified injuries to hospital workers, and dangerous occurrences.
Within 15 days, send a report on the approved form or by some other approved method of over seven-day injuries.
Under Regulation 12 of RIDDOR when is the responsible person required to keep a written record?
Any accident, occupational disease or dangerous occurrence which requires reporting under RIDDOR
Any other occupational accident causing injuries that results in a worker being away from work or incapacitated for more than three consecutive days.
Under the Social Security (Claims and Payments ) Regulations 1999 it is a requirement for an Employee who suffers personal injury as a result of work to notify their employer by writing or verbally as soon as it is practicable after the incident. What is the purpose of this?
