Rental Qualifications & Processes Flashcards
The difference between a DL & an International Driving Permit
A driver’s license is issued from the driver’s home country. An international driving permit is NOT acceptable to allow the customer to rent a vehicle without also having a valid driver’s license. It is required for licenses from Russia and China when the characters are not in English.
What is the policy for accepting an expired for active duty military travelers?
- Verify the renter’s military id indicates active duty. 2. Check the current version of “ID Checking Guide, US & Canada” to determine the Military extension policy for the state that issued the driver’s license. 3. If there is a policy contact a manager to process the actual rental.
