- A - Acidosis.
- E - Electrolyte Abnormalities (Hyperkalaemia).
- I - Intoxication (Overdose of Certain Medications).
- O - Oedema.
- U - Uraemia (Seizures, Reduced Consciousness).

A
- Haemodialysis.
- Peritoneal Dialysis (rare in Acute Renal Failure).

Considerations of Haemodialysis.
A
- Requires good access to abundant blood supply.
- Vas Cath (Central Venous Catheter) with 2 Lumens : Acute Setting.
- Anticoagulation with Citrate/Hepairin (prevent clotting in haemodialysis machine).

Types of Haemodialysis (2).
A
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (continuous 24/7) - usually in ITU.
- Intermittent - set periods e.g. 3-12 hours with break.
