Renal cards Flashcards
Parathyroid hormone
Stimulus for secretion: low plasma Ca
Time: fast
MoA: Basolateral receptor, adenylate cyclase, cAMP-> urine
Actions on the kidney: lowers phosphate REAB (proximal), increase in Ca REAB (distal), Stim 1alpha hydroxylase (proximal)
ADH
Stimulus for secretion: increased plasma osm, decrease blood volume
Time: fast
MoA: basolateral V2 receptors, adenylate cyclase Camp-> V1 receptors are on blood vessel, mechanism is Ca
Actions on the kidney: increases h20 permeability (late distal tubule and collecting duct)
aldosterone
Stimulus for secretion: low blood volume (via renin Ang2) or an increase in plasma K
Time: slow
MoA: new proteins
Actions on the kidney: increase Na REAB (ENaC-distal tubule principle cells), increase in K secretion, increase in H secretion
ANP
Stimulus for secretion: increase atrial pressure
Time: fast
MoA: guanylate cyclase cGMP
Actions on the kidney: increase in GFR, decrease Na REAB
Ang 2
Stimulus for secretion: decrease blood volume via renin
Time: fast
MoA:
Actions on the kidney: increase Na-H exchange and HCO3 REAB proximal
