Definition.

A

Decreases blood flow to the juxtaglomerular apparatus which results in activation of the renin angiotensin aldiosterone system leading to HTN.

Decreased renal artery blood flow -> Results to decreased gfr -> stimulation of RAAS -> HTN (factor for renal disease)

Treatment.

A

Revascularization with precutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty ( ptra)

  • surgery
  • ace inhibitors (enalapril, captopril 25-50mg, ramipril 5-10mg)
  • calcium channel blockers ( verapamil 40-80mg, nifedipine 30-60mg)
