Michelangelo
was one of the most famous artists in the renaissance, was a painter, sculptor, architect and poet, his art showed realism and expression of the body and emotion, his sculptures “pieta” and “David” are considered masterpieces and he made the ceiling of the Sistine chapel.
Leonardo da Vinci
A true renaissance Man who invented and sculpted, he created the Last supper with great emotion, and his greatest masterpiece was the Mona Lisa.
Raphael
He improved the perspective and realism of are by studying Leonardo and Michelangelo, he was the favorite painter of the pope because his greco-roman detail in paintings, and his greatest painting was the “School of Athens”.
Filippo Brunelleschi
Florence’s greatest architect, he studied the Roman Pantheon when he built the Cuppolo of Maria del Fiore Cathedral in florence, and that dome inspired modern building designs.
