Aquinas, we should use analogical because we are not talking about something different from his essence.
What do Flew and Mitchel have to say on the subject?
- Flew: Claims about God are meaningless
- Mitchel: Claims about God can’t be the object of an empirical formula, they go beyond the evidence.
What is falsifiability?
Capacity for a claim to be proven wrong
What is positivism?
A philosophical system that holds that to be meaningful, every assertion must be scientifically verified or susceptible to logical falsification.
What does “‘apophatic” means?
Knowledge of God is obtained through negation
