What is religious language?
A
Refers to the written and spoken language typically used by religious believers when they talk about God.
It also covers the language used in sacred texts and in worship and prayer

What is the debate?
A
The religious language debate is not concerned with the existence of God or what he is like or why there is evil in the world. It is solely concerned with working out whether RL means anything.

what are the two types of language?
A
Cognitive- conveys facts ie things
Non cognitive- conveys information that is not factual; emotions, feelings and metaphysical claims

A
An attempt to explain the meaning of something which is difficult to understand.
