What is a Corporeal vision?
Supernatural experiences that are mediated through the physical senses. (empirical)
the visionary sees the figure/object in the way someone would see a chair

What is an Imaginative vision?
Visions that are mediated through the ‘minds eye’ often occurring in the form of dreams
What is an example of an Imaginative vision?
Joseph’s dream where he was told Mary was pregnant through the Holy Spirit
What is an Intellectual vision?
No image - enlightenment of the soul
What is an example of an Intellectual vision?
Teresa of Avila - ‘i saw nothing with the eyes of the soul‘ but felt Christ
