the primary purpose of the sacrament of marriage is unitive and procreative. the sacrament of matrimony is a sacred bond that mirrors the unconditional annd everlasting love that god has for all his children. e.g st pauls letter to the ephesians “the two shall become one flesh” (Eph 5:31) . the sacrament of matrimony involves a growing communion of body and soul.
