  • Jesus overturning tables in the army

Yes - holy war fighters may expect a place in paradise or forgiveness, e.g. pope ordered Christian’s to fight for the holy land so they might want to gain something for the religion. May think god wants them to fight

no - without religion there would be no religious beliefs or holy land to die for. also people would not be motivated to die without belief in an afterlife.
- christian’s have caused many deaths ie spanish inquisition

  • yes - religious people may work for peace between different counties or religious groups.
  • the church talks about peace and helps victims of war
