What is theonomy?

A

God/The bible/The scripture of religion is the only source of ethics that we need
All morality should be based on divine revelations

What are divine revelations and how does it relate to theonomy

A

Divine revelations are communications or messages believed to come from a divine source (In this case God) that are intended to convey guidance, wisdom or truth.
-Divine revelations can come in things like dreams and scripture
-By us basing our morality on only divine revelations like the writers of the bible being inspired by the holy spirit of pieces of scripture, we have sufficient resources to know how to successfully live morally
