Describe God’s original plan for marriage
God revealed that marriage was meant to be a loving and life-giving relationship between one man and one woman for the rest of their lives.
Explain how the Sacrament of Marriage strengthens and guides people in their life together.
The Sacrament of Marriage strengthens and guides people in their life together as Jesus renewed God’s original plan for marriage to help people overcome difficulties. Jesus strengthens married people so that they can (e.g.) face problems that arise in marriage. Jesus guides them when (e.g.) they need to work out any problems they may be facing.

An apostle is someone who is ‘sent’. Three spiritual gifts the apostles received from Jesus are the powers to: forgive sins through the Sacrament of Penance, baptise - making people new members of the Church and exercise authority within the Church for its good order.
