Q

What is a refugee camp?

A

A refugee camp is a temporary settlement built to receive refugees. Conditions vary from camp to camp, but they are generally very overcrowded and unable to meet even basic human rights and health care services. The average time a displaced person will live in a refugee camp before being resettled is seventeen years. This means the only memories some children would have would be in the camp.
