Paradise Lost
‘Adam’s supplication to his Creator. But where was mine? He had abandoned me, and in the bitterness of my heart I cursed him’
Feels abandoned by his creator, his God.
Adam was not abandoned by God, yet the Creature feels abandoned and isolated
‘Satan had his companions, fellow devils, to admire and encourage him, but I am solitary and abhorred.’
Creature feels as though he is worse than Satan, completely alone
Even pure evil has companions, the Creature has no one.
‘I am chained in an eternal hell.’
Frankensteins ambition has caused him to be alone, resulted in the death of everyone he cared for
Similar to the Creature, both make comparisions to Satan and Hell.
