Where was Jesus born?
Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, and grew up in the town of Nazareth, which is in Galilee.

Jesus’ mother was named Mary, and Jesus’ father was named Joseph.

Jesus’ ministry announced the Kingdom of God.

The first time the ministry was announced publicly in the Synagogues of Nazareth. The synagogue was the local place of worship for Jesus. There were many synagogues scattered all over Palstine.
Where did Jesu begin his ministry?
Jesus started his ministry around the sea of Galilee and his first disciples were fishermen. The word disciple means ‘‘learner’’.
Who was the first disciple?
Jesus chose Simon to be the leader of the disciples, but he changed his name to Peter, which means ‘‘rock’’.
What was Jesus’ first miracle and where was it preformed?
Jesus’ first miracle was preformed at a wedding feast, which took place in Cana, a town in Galilee. Here, Jesus changed water into wine.
Was Jesus a Jew?
Yes, Jesus was a Jew. He therefor knew the traditions and religions of his people. He understood that Yahwe had Lead the Jews out of slavery in Egypt during the Exodus and had made a covenant with them.
what was the covenant?
This covenant was a type of covenant in which Yahwe promised to be with his people if they in turn were faithful to his Laws. The Laws are laid down in the Torah, the Jewish holy book. Yahwe also promised to send his people a Saviour or messiah who would be a great king like king David of old when the Jews were a great nation.
What was the Torah written as?
The Torah is written in Hebrew but the everyday language of the Jews at the time was Aramic.
Was Jesus a faithful Jew?
Jesus was a faithful Jew. He kept the passover and went to the Temple in Jerusalem. The original Temple had been built by king Solomon who was the son of king David. He was noted for his wisdom.
Who divided the land into 2 areas?
At the time of Jesus, Palestine was occupied by the Romans who divided the land into 2 areas. A Jewish king, Herod, ruled the North and south was ruled by a Roman governor or priest, whose name was Pilate Prontius.
Where was Jesus arrested?
Jesus was arrested in the garden of olives or Gethsemane as it is also called.
Who betrayed Jesus?
Jesus was betrayed by one of his own disciples, Judas Iscariot who led the soldiers to Jesus. Jesus was then taken before the Jewish council or Sanhedrin, presided over by Caiaphas the Herod Pilate.
