FUNCTIONS/ INDICATIONS:
•Release Exterior and Assists the Yang: Adjusts Ying and Wei Qi.
- for Exterior cold with underlying disorders.
- sweating occurs but does not improve condition: releases the muscle layer.
- aversion to wind.

•Warms the channels & vessels and disperses Cold

  • Wind-Cold-Damp, painful obstruction on joints and limbs.
  • also good for dysmenorrhea caused by cold obstruction.

• Warms and facilitates the flow of Yang Qi in the chest and Mid Burner by directing turbid Yin downward.
- palpitation due to obstruction of the Yang Qi (easily flushed or startled), thin mucus accumulation.

CAUTIONS/CONTRA-INDICATIONS:

  • Do not use in Exterior Heat disease
  • Yin vacuity with heat signs
  • Heat in blood with vomiting

  • Not recommend for nursing mothers.
  • May deplete Qi of overuse in weak patients.
