Relative Risk Flashcards
1
Q
Define relative risk.
A
How many times more likely an event is to happen for one group compared to another group.
2
Q
How do you calculate relative risk?
A
Relative risk (RR) = P of group / P of not in group
3
Q
How do we interpret the relative risk value? e.g if the value was 9.5?
A
If RR = 9.5, then group A is 9.5 times more likely to experience an event than group B.
