loyalty & devotion to a nation which creates a sense of national consciousness

global sense of the local, a global sense of place
Clone town
a place that has had its individuality of its high street shops stripped and replaced by a monochrome strip of global & national chains
easily mistaken for other areas of a country
Home town
a place that retains its individual character
recognisable & distinctive
Globalisation
set of processes leading to the integration of economic, cultural, political and social systems across geographical boundaries
increasing economic integration –> trade and capital flows
