What was Carlos V 2 main revolts?
The revolt of the comuneros(Castilla) and the revolt of the Germanias(Aragon). The nobles were annoyed because the king gave the most important government positions to foreigners.
Explain the development of the revolt of the comuneros:
Comunidades de villa y tierra started the revolt of the comuneros which were supported by the nobles. It was led by Juan de padilla. The king later came to an agreement with the castilian nobles.
How was the empire organised?
The empire was made up of many different territories with their own laws and institutions. He did not have absolute power, decisions needed the approval of the parliaments of each kingdom.
Who were Carlos V main enemies?
France: he fought against king Francois and won at the battle of pavia in 1525.
Ottoman turks: threatened the mediterranean region at the eastern frontiers, under Sultan Suleiman the turks failed to take vienna in 1529.
Protestants: in 1540 he became influenced by the ideas of the counter reformation.
