How do you diagnose antiphospholipid antibody syndrome?
CLINICAL:
(1) Hx of VTE
or
(2) Pregnancy morbidity: • One or more loss after 10 weeks’ gestation of normal fetus
•One or more PTB < 34 weeks of normal neonate, b/c of PET or placental insufficiency
•3 or more unexplained consecutive early losses
LAB: (1) Lupus anticoagulant positive 2 or more ocassions 12 weeks apart. (2) Anti-cardiolipin Ab high titre 2 or more ocassions 12 weeks apart (3) anti-Beta glycoprotein 1 Ab high titre 2 or more ocassions 12 weeks apart
What is the lab workup for APAS?
lupus anticoagulant, anti-cardiolipin ab, anti-Beta glycoprotein 1 Ab
How do you differentiate between Bicornuate uterus and Uterine Septum?
Gold standard is to do laparoscopy
Hysteroscopy and MRI as part of workup.
