A
- ‘Devil and angel’
- As someone acts out a character, another person speaks their thought aloud

Freeze frame/thought tracking (2p)
A
- When a character ‘steps out’ of a scene and reveals something to the audience - whilst the rest of the action freezes

A
- A person sits in a chair and the rest of the group ask relevant questions about their feelings, thoughts and actions

- Acting without previous planning
- Spontaneous improvisation= making roles up as ypou going along
- Planned improvisation= working within a structure of ideas

A
- when during a scene, actors swap roles they are portraying
- to gain a different view or understanding of their own role

Role-On-The-Wall (2p)
A
- a life-size outline of a figure is drawn on the wall to represent a character or a role
- members of the group write facts/information about the character

A
- when a letter, diary, letter, journal etc. is written as if by the character

- Creating a picture to represent a frozen moment or to sum up what is happening
- used to understand the effects of positioning characters in relation to one another

- when a narrative is read out and performers react to the actions being described

- To straight lines are formed with individuals facing one another
- A person in a role walks through and hears thoughts and questions from every person
- Useful for character building

- Used to explore the status of characters
- Characters rank their role with defined term(eg, social status) throughout the play
- used to determine changes in character
