It is a center for Agriculture, Abaca Production, and Geothermal Energy in the Philippines, housing the Tiwi Geothermal Plant, one of the oldest and largest in Southeast Asia.

Mayon Volcano
Mayon Volcano is an iconic, and most famous natural landmark in Albay. While an unobstructed view of its perfect cone is weather-dependent, it’s still worth visiting for its sheer beauty.
Mayon, comes from “Magayon” which means “Beautiful” in Bicolanos.
Cagsawa Ruins
These historical ruins are remnants of a church buried by volcanic ash during Mayon’s eruption in 1814.
